The breech bolt slide in a Beretta shotgun is pushed backward by the operating rod, drops the locking block and frees the breech bolt from the barrel. The breech bolt travels backwards, loads the recoil spring by means of the connecting rod, cocks the hammer, and by means of the extractor extracts the empty shell case which is ejected through the ejection port.

Note: It is recommended that all BERETTA PARTS be installed by a QUALIFIED and trained gunsmith.
